Science Why the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans Don”t Mix BRIGHT SIDE 💡 Our shop for unique and stylish Bright Side MERCH (open globally!): http://bit.ly/2OJubyA

When you look at the seas and oceans on the map you might think that they just flow into each other. It seems like there’s only one big ocean, and people just gave different names to its parts. Well, you’ll be amazed at how vivid the borders between them are!

The border between the Pacific and Atlantic oceans is like a line between 2 worlds. It looks as if the two oceans meet at an invisible wall which does not let them flow into each other and mix their waters. Why on Earth does it happen? We know for sure there is no invisible wall inside, and water is water. So what could interfere with its mixing?

SUMMARY:
– Pacific oceans have different density and chemical make-up, the level of salinity and other qualities. One can see by their color that they are far from being the same.
– Haloclines – borders between waters with different salinity – are the most spectacular, and this is what we see when the Atlantic and the Pacific oceans meet.
– Haloclines appear when water in one ocean or sea is at least 5 times saltier than in the other.
– Another important difference between the two oceans” water is the strength of molecules” connection, or surface tensile strength.
– Maybe they could gradually start mixing with time, but as the flows in them have opposite directions, they just don’t have time to do this.
– There are also thermoclines – borders between water of different temperatures, like the warm water of Gulf Stream and much colder North Atlantic Ocean.
– The North and Baltic Seas meet near the Danish city of Skagen. The water in them does not mix because of different density.
– The Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean meet at the Strait of Gibraltar and have a different density and salinity, so their water does not mix too.
– The Uruguay River and its afflux meet in Misiones province in Argentina. One of them is cleaned to be used in agriculture, and the other gets almost red because of loam during rainy seasons.
– Mosel and Rhein meet in Koblenz, Germany. Rheine has lighter water and Mosel – darker.
– Alaknanda and Bhagirathi Rivers meet in India. Alaknanda is dark and Bhagirathi is light.
– The Jialing and Yangtze Rivers meet in Chongqing, China.
The Jialing is clean and the Yangtze is brown.
– The water of the Chuya has an unusual cloudy white color here and looks dense and thick. Katun is clean and turquoise. Flowing into each other they form a single two-colored flow that does not mix for some time.
– The Rhone and Arve rivers flow into each other in Geneva, Switzerland. The Rhone is a pure river that flows out of the lake of Geneva, the Arve is cloudy as it gets its water from glaciers of the Chamonix valley.

SUMMARY:
– Eggs have been getting a bad rap in the health and fitness community because they are associated with cholesterol and weight gain. Others say they may trigger a heart attack, and people who want to lose weight usually remove eggs from their diet. But what if you tried to eat 3 eggs a day? You might be missing more benefits than you realized.
– Egg contain calories, protein, healthy fats, folate, calcium, zinc, phosphorus, selenium, and vitamins A, B5, B12, B2, D, E, K, and B6. They also contain omega-3 fatty acids and dietary cholesterol.
– A large egg contains about 6 g of high-quality protein, which may help you eat less for several hours after a meal. As a result, this helps you lose weight.
– Egg yolks contain lutein, which helps reduce the risk of age-related macular degeneration and cataracts. It contains zeaxanthin, which protects you from the sun’s harmful UV rays.
– Egg yolks improve bone metabolism and prevent the risk of osteoporosis. They are also a source of iron.
– The yolks can also help to prevent birth defects during pregnancy. Vitamin B is important for the development of the spinal cord and fetal nervous system. It also helps prevent breast cancer, according to a study.
– There are 4 types of eggs, and they are organized based on where the hen is raised and fed. Brown and white eggs have the same nutritional value according to the USDA (who debunked all previous myths on this matter).
– A study from the Department of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Connecticut revealed that a person who consumes 3 eggs a day may experience more of an increase in good cholesterol and decrease in bad cholesterol than someone who eats the same amount of egg substitute.

Science What Will Happen to Your Body If You Walk Every Day BRIGHT SIDE Walking is a totally free, easy exercise that requires little effort, and benefits not only your physical but also your mental well-being. If you’re looking for a simple yet very effective way of losing weight and improving your overall health, walking is something just for you.
People who are physically active throughout their life are much less prone to this disease than those who have a more sedentary lifestyle. And that’s because they have more volume in their hippocampus, the part of the brain responsible for verbal memory and learning.
A daily half-hour walk helps avoid serious problems, like coronary heart disease to name one, by lowering high blood pressure and cholesterol levels and improving blood circulation. Because of better-quality and deeper breathing, some symptoms associated with lung disease can show significant improvement thanks to walking.
Muscle tone and weight loss is also totally achievable through simple walking. Find your optimal pace, but don’t break out into a jog. This sort of speed walking is low impact and doesn’t require any recovery time, which means no sore muscles to keep you from getting out and walking the next day.
The Arthritis Foundation recommends at least 30 minutes of moderate walking a day to reduce pain, stiffness, and inflammation in the joints. Building strong bones will help you prevent osteoporosis and reduce bone loss. Walking contributes to better blood circulation within the spinal structures, pumping important nutrients into the soft tissues and improving posture and flexibility, both of which are vital for a healthy spine.
A group of researchers at Iowa State University worked with hundreds of college students. Walking changed their mood for the better, even though no one warned them it could do so.
If you still don’t feel motivated enough to start walking for your health, try joining a class or find a buddy who also wouldn’t mind getting all the benefits of walking. Another idea could be to hire a personal trainer.

-Walking prevents the early onset of dementia, reduces the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease and improves your overall mental well-being by reducing stress and releasing endorphins.
-Get on the road to improve vision and protect your eyes now from potential problems, such as glaucoma, in the future.
-Walking is no less effective than running when it comes to the prevention of heart disease and stroke.
-Walking is an aerobic exercise, which means that it increases oxygen flow in the bloodstream and helps eliminate toxins and waste, which is great for your lungs.
-Walking for exercise is a surprisingly more effective way to prevent diabetes than running is.
-Just half an hour of walking every day not only lowers the risk of developing colon cancer but also improves digestion and regulates bowel movements.
-Just 10,000 steps a day can be just as effective as a full-blown workout at the gym, especially if you add some intervals or uphill walking.
-Walking can provide more joint mobility, prevent the loss of bone density, and even reduce the risk of fractures.
-Walking is a real life-saver for those who experience back pain during more challenging high-impact exercises.
-Walking improves depression symptoms in patients with MDD, just imagine how easily it could help us cope with just feeling down or exhausted.
-Keep in mind the FIT formula. It stands for Frequency (how often), Intensity (how fast), and Time (for how long).

Science They Looked Inside Lost Bermuda Triangle Ship, Here”s What They Saw BRIGHT SIDE 💡 Our unique shop on Amazon (US only): http://amzn.to/3tkGbpY

September 2, 2019. the British Royal Navy”s Ice Patrol ship called the HMS Protector sails through the calm waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The time is 11 PM. Some of the ship”s crew are on deck, while others are sleeping in their cabins. The captain steers the ship and looks straight at the horizon. Suddenly, against this beautiful landscape, one of the sailors notices the black silhouette of an unknown ship. The captain slows down and steers the ship a little closer to the mysterious vessel.

This is an old cargo ship 250 feet long. Attempts to contact the crew members lead to nothing. It seems the unknown boat is floating in the ocean by itself. There’s no one on board. At least no one alive. British sailors don”t dare to climb on that strange deck. They take a photo, post it on the Internet, and sail away. Many people on the Internet will assume the sailors met a real ghost ship. 5 months later, the same ship was seen in County Cork, Ireland – thousands of miles from this place…

Science Stop Sleeping On Your Side: 5 Reasons Why BRIGHT SIDE Which sleeping position is the healthiest? Why should you sleep on your back, not your stomach? People don’t really pay attention to their sleeping position, just whatever’s comfortable enough to get them into dreamland faster. Well, according to doctors, you really should be paying attention. Here are 5 reasons why you should never sleep on your stomach or side!

TIMESTAMPS:
It strains your muscles and joints 1:40
It compresses your organs 2:22
It can contribute to worsening heartburn 2:57
It can damage your nerves 3:48
You can get premature wrinkles 4:38
Some other good sleep habits to adopt 5:47

#soundsleep #fallasleep #wakingup

Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music

SUMMARY:
– If you sometimes find yourself waking up with a crick in your neck, some lower back pain, or aches in your hips or knees, then it could be because you’re sleeping on your stomach or side rather than your back.
– Stomach- and side-sleepers are also compressing their organs, which doesn’t exactly do your system any good. Side sleeping is especially risky because it prevents your diaphragm from moving freely, which can eventually cause lung problems.
– According to the Cleveland Clinic, sleeping on your stomach can exacerbate heartburn. So if the pain of chronic heartburn and acid reflux keeps you up at night, you might wanna try turning over to sleep on your back or on your left side.
– When you rest your head on your shoulder or arm as you sleep on your side, you’re also pressing on the nerves that run through the top of your shoulder and down your arm. This can result in finger numbness throughout the day, which is bad for whatever work you have to do that day with your hands.
– Smushing half your face into a pillow can, according to dermatologist Dr. Jamie Davis, focus wrinkles onto whichever side of your face spends more time being smushed. Sleeping on your back not only prevents this from happening but also lets your skin breathe throughout the night.
– If you tend to fall asleep easily and stay asleep the whole night but still wake up feeling stiff, then try adding some 5- to 10-minute stretching into your morning routine.
– If you wake up in the middle of the night with leg cramps, then try stretching before bed to make sure the muscle isn’t tight. You could also try massaging it or applying a heating pad.
– Making sure your room is comfortable also helps. So if you can, adjust your thermostat to between 68 and 71°F. This is the recommended room temperature for the best-quality sleep.
