Abstract
The study investigates the physical characteristics of PAN carbon fabric/epoxy composite which is a material commonly utilized in aerospace, defense, and automotive sectors. The material has exceptional mechanical properties like high specific strength and hardness. The materials utilized in this experiment are T-300 PAN carbon fabric, LY556 Epoxy resin, and HY5200 hardener to create pre-preg materials. Then the laminate was pre- pregged in a die mold of identical shape matched, and then pressed with the use of a hydraulic press. The specimens were precisely taken the readings in adherence to ASTM guidelines and they are analyzed for mechanical characteristics using a universal testing machine (UTM). Then the findings were evaluated against previous literature sources to confirm the reliability and consistency of the composite materials. This research study offers important information regarding the mechanical behavior of PAN carbon fabric/epoxy composites, and evaluation of their characteristics. Using the standardized testing techniques and literature standards, it improves the dependability and credibility of the results. The results of the research help in the development of compound which meets specific mechanical requirements and enhancing its suitability for use in different industries. This research aims to help advance composite material science and technology, guaranteeing their ongoing importance and usefulness in tackling the changing challenges encountered by different industries.
