Special Issue Description
The process by which individuals, companies, and entrepreneurs create and finance solutions that directly address social challenges is known as social entrepreneurship. Therefore, a social entrepreneur is someone who investigates business prospects that benefit their community, society, or the entire planet. Social entrepreneurship enables business owners to have a meaningful life and establish a fundamental connection with others. Additionally, it allows individuals the chance to motivate and bring delight and joy to others for the long term. Expanding entrepreneurial activity is a primary concern of UK economic growth policy, and new venture formation is a “recognized component of national as well as local development” (Malecki, 1994). In addition to creating new job opportunities, the development of companies has other positive effects on people’s lives and society, including reducing poverty and dependency on government assistance, fostering independence and adaptability, and formulating unofficial economic growth (OECD, 2003). Because there are so many advantages to being entrepreneurial, it is in everyone’s best interest to support new business development.
