Abstract
The Smart Parking System is an intelligent solution designed to reduce traffic congestion and save time by efficiently managing parking spaces using modern technology. To determine if a car is there or not, sensors are placed in each parking space in this system. The collected sensor data is processed by a microcontroller and transmitted to a display unit or mobile application, enabling users to access real-time information about parking availability. As vehicles enter or exit the parking area, the system automatically updates the status of each slot, ensuring accurate and up-to- date information. This approach helps drivers quickly locate vacant spaces, thereby reducing unnecessary vehicle movement, fuel consumption, and environmental pollution. Additionally, the system focuses on minimizing human intervention by automating the entire parking management process through embedded systems. The integration of communication technologies allows seamless data transfer and efficient monitoring of parking resources. The design is scalable and adaptable, making it suitable for both small and large parking infrastructures such as shopping malls, hospitals, offices, and smart city environments. By improving space utilization and enhancing user convenience, the Smart Parking System contributes to the development of sustainable and intelligent urban transportation systems while promoting better urban mobility and effective traffic management.
