Abstract
Toothpaste is a multifunctional oral care product composed of abrasives, surfactants, fluoride-based anticaries agents, and pH buffers. Herbal toothpaste formulations have gained significant attention for the treatment of gingivitis, an inflammatory disease of the gums. Generally, toothpaste formulations maintain a pH range of 5–6 to ensure stability and compatibility with the oral environment. Traditional medicinal plants have long been used by communities for oral healthcare due to their antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory activities, supporting their incorporation into modern herbal toothpaste formulations.The herbal tooth pastes formulated which can satisfy all required condition to keep the mouth fresh and prevent the tooth decay by bacteria. During our physical or chemical characteristics of all the formulation with the range have pH, viscosity, spread ability. Periodontal disease is primarily caused by infection and inflammation of the gums and supporting tissues of the teeth. The formulated herbal product was greenish in color, smooth in texture, and had a pH range of 5–6. Physical evaluation indicated good stability, and the formulation showed promising potential in the control of dental plaque and gingivitis.
