Abstract

The Fire Detection and Alert System Using IoT is a new solution aimed at improving fire safety in multi- floor buildings. Fires can be very dangerous, especially in crowded areas or tall buildings. When a fire breaks out, evacuating can be hard and slow. This project uses IoT technology to create a fire detection system that works fast and is easy to expand. Each floor of the building is equipped with advanced sensors capable of detecting smoke and high temperatures, enabling early fire detection. As soon as signs of a fire are identified, the system promptly initiates emergency protocols. It automatically alerts the building owner, activates loud alarms to notify occupants, and switches on emergency lighting to guide people toward safe exits. This integrated response ensures swift awareness and improved evacuation safety during critical situations. By combining real-time monitoring with immediate alerts, the system enhances overall fire safety and minimizes potential damage or injury in case of an emergency. It also sends important details to the nearest fire department, like the building’s location and layout. This info helps firefighters know what to expect before they arrive. The building management is also sent alerts to help manage evacuations, making sure everyone stays safe.
