Abstract

IOT holds potential to improve lives and revolutionize industries. However, its widespread adoption depends on addressing the growing energy consumption concerns. Nanotechnology provides a pathway to create a more energy-efficient IoT ecosystem by enabling the development of self-powered devices, low-power electronics, high-performance batteries, and advanced sensors. IoT is changing our daily lives and work by linking countless devices and producing vast amounts of data.. However, this explosive growth comes with a significant challenge: energy consumption. As the number of connected devices continues to surge, so does the energy required to power them, collect and process data, and maintain network connectivity. Fortunately, nanotechnology offers promising solutions to improve energy efficiency across the IoT ecosystem. The promise of the IoT rests on its ability to seamlessly integrate devices into our daily lives. However, the energy demands of these devices are substantial. Nanotechnology is playing a pivotal role in enhancing the sensitivity of IoT sensors, unlocking the potential for more accurate, precise, and valuable data collection. The ability to detect and quantify minute changes in the environment or target parameter opens up a wide range of new possibilities for IoT applications across various industries. From enabling early diagnosis of diseases to optimizing industrial processes and protecting the environment, the enhanced sensitivity offered by nanotechnology-enabled sensors is poised to revolutionize data acquisition and drive the evolution of IoT.
