Abstract

Community is the living of people with harmony; family is the functional unit of community. Family health is nation’s health. Family health nursing is a structured healthcare service that prioritizes the family as the primary unit of care, aiming to accomplish specific objectives. Nursing process varies from specialty to specialty or area to area. At community it is important to know family health care process. It is very important function of nurse, and nurse must be familiar with 6 phases of nursing process they are, assessment phase, nursing diagnosis phase, outcome identification phase (objective), planning phase, implementation phase, and last is evaluation phase. It is necessary to know the details of each step of nursing process, to provide preventive, promotive, and curative and need based care for each member of the family. The present review article describes the family nursing process and application of the concepts in family health care.
