Abstract

nThis research delves into the crucial role of color psychology in interior design, which profoundly influences the atmosphere, mood, and perception of a space. By scrutinizing the connection between color and psychology, designers can effectively craft environments that evoke desired emotions and behaviors in occupants.
The paper thoroughly examines existing literature on color psychology, elucidating how different colors provoke specific emotional and physiological reactions. It also explores the cultural and contextual factors that shape color perception, highlighting the subjective nature of color meanings.
Moreover, the study investigates practical applications of color psychology across various interior settings, encompassing residential, commercial, and healthcare environments. Key findings underscore that warm colors like red and yellow tend to ignite energy and creativity, while cool tones such as blue and green foster relaxation and tranquility.
Nonetheless, the research emphasizes that individual preferences and cultural backgrounds significantly influence how colors are interpreted and experienced. Consequently, it stresses the importance of integrating psychological principles into color selection for interior spaces, as this can potentially enhance well-being and satisfaction among occupants.
