[This article belongs to Special Issue Recent Developments in Aortic Valve Disease Diagnosis and Treatment under section rrjomst, rrjomst in (rrjomst, rrjomst)]

        Special Issue Description

In daily clinical practice, it is common to diagnose and treat aortic valve disease, including endocarditis. Echocardiography is used to measure the severity of aortic valve stenosis and regurgitation. Left ventricular strain may be a sign that therapy is required, and stress testing and magnetic resonance tomography have grown in relevance in determining the severity of the disease. Although surgical aortic valve replacement (SAVR) still has a significant impact, the development of transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) has significantly altered the management of aortic valve stenosis. Regurgitant aortic valves can now be repaired surgically in a way that is analogous to the advancements made in the field of replacing stenotic aortic valves, allowing surgeons to keep much more regurgitant valves than was previously possible. To present an overview of the state of the art in this exciting and dynamic topic, we would like to request original clinical and basic research articles, meta-analyses, and reviews about recent breakthroughs in the diagnosis and treatment of aortic valve disease.

        Manuscript Submission information

Manuscripts should be submitted online by registering and logging in to this link. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed.
Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent on email address:[email protected] for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page.
