      Special Issue Description

      Water pollution remains one of the most pressing environmental challenges, with adverse effects on human health, ecosystems, and global water security. The need for innovative, scalable, and sustainable solutions is more critical than ever. This special issue explores advances in biotechnological processes, nanotechnology, functionalized materials, and system-level management to address water pollution and purification challenges. Contributions are sought from interdisciplinary research that leverages biotechnology for pollutant degradation, advanced materials for purification, and systemic approaches for monitoring and managing water resources.

      • July 10, 2025: Final version submission
      • July 20, 2025: Review process concluded, and the accepted papers submitted to Journal of Water Pollution & Purification Research
