Special Issue Description

Topology optimization is a powerful design tool for creating optimal structures with minimal material usage. It has become increasingly popular in the field of structural mechanics due to its ability to generate innovative designs that meet strict performance requirements. This special issue aims to showcase recent developments in topology optimization in structural mechanics, including new optimization algorithms, modeling techniques, and applications. We welcome original research articles that present new methods for topology optimization in structural mechanics, as well as review articles that provide an overview of recent advances in this field.

Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent on email address:[email protected] for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process.
