        Special Issue Description

        A bone marrow transplant, also known as a stem cell transplant, is a medical procedure that substitutes healthy cells for bone marrow. For some cancers and other bone marrow disorders, transplantation is used. It may have side effects, just like any other cancer treatment. Everybody has a different set of them. They fluctuate depending on the transplant’s type, your general health, and other elements. While many adverse effects fade with time, some can last forever. Managing side effects is a crucial component of cancer treatment and care. Palliative or supportive care are terms used to describe this sort of care. A stem-cell transplant presents a significant challenge to your body. In the initial weeks and months of recovery, you probably feel weak and exhausted. Some adverse effects are frequent, including flu-like symptoms, nausea, and altered taste perception. The sickness or condition that necessitated the transplant, the type of transplant, your age, and your general health all affect your risks. Long-term risk of transplantation includes Graft versus host illness (a complication of allogeneic transplant only), Failure of a stem cell (transplant), Organ injury, Infections, Cataracts, Infertility, fresh cancers, and Death. Numerous organ systems may be impacted by these issues, which may also have an impact on transplantation outcomes, hospital stay time, long-term consequences, and quality of life. This special issue invites authors to submit articles on risks and complications involved in stem cell or bone marrow transplantation. What are the major symptoms, and how can they be treated or prevented all these questions can be answered in the issue with the help of work done by renowned researchers, scientists, professors, etc.
