        Special Issue Description

Bioinformatics is the study of computer applications in the field of biological sciences. This emerging field of science has spread its branches in almost every area of life sciences and biotechnology. Bioinformatics tools are widely used not only for data generation but also for the interpretation of research data. For example, BLAST is a bioinformatics tool used to sequence genetic sequences, Protein database contains complete information about proteins present in organisms. In this issue, we have collected articles that describe various applications of existing bioinformatics tools and other information related to them.
