        Special Issue Description

Immunogenetics is a scientific discipline that studies the molecular and genetic basis of immune responses. Genetic conditions that affect the development or function of immune system components result in an inability to control infectious pathogens as well as a susceptibility to autoimmunity or cancer. These primary immunodeficiency disorders have significantly increased our understanding of how certain immune system components are critical for controlling specific pathogens in humans. They have also contributed to our understanding of the fundamental mechanisms underlying immune tolerance (autoimmunity) and immune surveillance (tumor immunity) under normal conditions.

Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent on email address:[email protected] for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers).
