        Special Issue Description

The resulting high-level information (frequency spectrum, object location, and predicted item categorization) is sent to a central sink using a multi-hop network protocol. Wireless communication only happens on the last link between a base station and the wireless end system in cellular and wireless local area networks. There are one or more intermediary nodes along the path in multi-hop wireless networks that receive and forward packets across wireless links. Multiple advantages of multi-hop wireless networks include: Multihop wireless networks can increase connectivity and expand a network’s coverage as compared to networks with single wireless links. Furthermore, transmission over several “short” links might demand less energy and transmission power than transmission over several “long” links. Additionally, they permit faster data rates, increasing throughput and improving the usage of the wireless medium. Multihop wireless networks can be set up cost-effectively and can eliminate the need for extensive cable deployment. In a wireless sensor network, multi-hop communication will play a key role in cutting energy usage and extending network lifetime (WSN). Radio transmission energy is one of the main sources of energy consumption.

        Manuscript Submission information

Manuscripts should be submitted online by registering and logging in to this link. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed.
Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent on email address:[email protected] for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page.
