        Special Issue Description

Cell signaling is the process by which cells within an organism communicate with one another. It is triggered by either mechanical impulses, like touch, or chemical signals, such as hormones, growth factors, and neurotransmitters. Signaling pathways use a cascade mechanism to transfer stimuli so that the right response can be produced. Lipid signaling, insulin signaling, stress signaling, growth signaling, TOR signaling, and checkpoint signaling are a few examples of cell signaling pathways. The analysis of heterogeneity in cell signaling, the intersection of cell signaling and other biological processes, and systematic studies of signaling dynamics are all common topics in this field of study. Although there are numerous possible channels for cell signaling, the fundamental idea is that one cell’s actions have an impact on another capacity to operate. Multicellular organisms require cell signaling to coordinate a wide range of operations. Cells must organize during a baby’s growth, immune cells must stop attacking bodily cells, and nerve and muscle cells must connect to move.

        Manuscript Submission information

Manuscripts should be submitted online by registering and logging in to this link. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed.
Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the email address:[email protected] for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for the submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page.
