        Special Issue Description

Economic growth can be influenced by changes in capital goods, labor force, technology, and human capital. Using estimates like the GDP, economic growth is frequently calculated as the rise in the total market value of newly created products and services. High economic growth increases business profitability, allowing for greater expenditure in R&D. Technological innovations such as better healthcare and eco friendly technology may result from this. Furthermore, continued economic expansion boosts confidence and motivates businesses to innovate and take risks. Most economists concur those four factors—human resources, capital equipment, natural resources, and technology—have an impact on economic development and growth. Based on data on GDP that is estimated by national statistical offices, the economic growth rate is derived. All around the country, rural and small towns are seeking for ways to grow their economy, enhance their quality of life, and capitalize on local resources. Numerous small towns and rural areas are dealing with issues like diminishing rural populations, rapid growth at the outskirts of metropolises, and the loss of farms and productive land. While fast-growing rural areas on the perimeter of metropolitan areas experience development pressures like those in urban areas, slow-growing and shrinking rural areas may find that their policies are not bringing them the prosperity that desire.
