Special Issue Description

Since bacterial biofilm is simple to form in yeast-infected wounds, Cryptococcus neoformans infection in damaged wounds is associated with significant chances of developing persistent yeast infections. It is essential to use an enhanced therapeutic strategy to efficiently penetrate and remove yeast biofilm and hasten cell proliferation and migration at the site. Cryptococcus neoformans is an encapsulated yeast belonging to the class Tremellomycetes and an obligate aerobe that can live in both plants and animals. Its teleomorph is a filamentous fungus, formerly referred to as Filobasidiella neoformans. In its yeast state, it is often found in bird excrement.
