Special Issue Description

Immunological techniques have been widely used for the detection and epidemiology of human infectious diseases. Several molecular and immunological diagnostic kits are commercially available. Immuno Technologies are techniques that use the specific interactions between antigen and antibody to detect, quantify, and localize antigens and antibodies. B-cells in humans and other organisms have been identified as progenitors of antibody-like protein molecules that are produced when the organisms come into contact with a foreign entity or molecule. Western blotting is a popular immune technique in molecular biology research for separating and identifying specific proteins. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) are a sensitive and reliable method for detecting and quantifying antigens or antibodies. The basic idea behind enzyme-linked immunoassays is to conjugate an appropriate enzyme with an antibody. Likewise, there are several other techniques available for the detection of various diseases. Some have key advantages over others, and some have improvable limitations. In this special issue, we are inviting you to discuss all the advantages, disadvantages, and improvements of available immune technologies.

Manuscript Submission information

Manuscripts should be submitted online via the manuscript Engine. Once you register on APID, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline.
All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the email address:[email protected] for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a Double-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for the submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page.
