Abstract

Introduction: Since ancient times, women have struggled to navigate a society dominated by men. Despite years of planned development in India, women still have a lower status in society, and their socio-economic conditions remain significantly worse than those of men. Time has come to take Lessons from our Great Women, like Ahilyabai Holkar, Rani Durgavati, Rani Bhabani, Rani Bhavashankari, Rani Rasmoni and others to make New India 2047. Objective: The aim of the study is to take lessons from our great women and empower women in India to build New India 2047. Design and Methodology: This study is primarily descriptive in nature and relies on secondary data. Results vs. Discussion: The concept of women empowerment should be introduced based on our great women in India. There are many great women in our country hidden in the past. We must re-open them to our young generation. A separate subject should be introduced in our schools and college level based on our great women of the past. If we want to make our women empowered and self-dependent in true sense, we must follow our past great women. They have no need to follow other countries. Conclusion: Proverb goes that “the happiness of a family lies with the virtues of women”. But without empowering women how a practical society can desire happy and prosperous life. Indeed, family is a joint venture of women and men. So, women and men should equally be empowered in running a family.
