Abstract
This study aimed to prepare aqueous extracts of the seeds of the following plants (Apium, Coriandrum, Trigonella, Punica, Linum,, Cinnamon, and Ocimum) to detect the active compounds in them represented by (saponins, tannins, phenols, alkaloids, and glycosides). The study concluded that the presence of alkaloids in the extracts of Apium, Trigonella, Punica, and Ocimum, and their absence in the remaining extracts. Phenols were observed in the extracts of Trigonella, cinnamon, and coriander, but were not detected in the remaining extracts. The presence of glycosides was detected in the extracts of Punica tanning and Linum, and their absence in the remaining extracts. The results showed the presence of tannins in Punica tannin and Cinnamon extracts and their absence in the rest of the other extracts. The study found that foam appeared in some extracts, evidence of the presence of saponins in them, such as Trigonella extract, Cinnamon and Punica tannin extracts. The era of chronic diseases grew according to the will of the Creator, the Almighty, and His will for every herb or plant to be the plant contains active substances, and if the concentration of these substances is diluted, it is easy for bodies to react With it in its natural form, in addition to the fact that a single plant contains a number of active substances that participate together in treating the disease With the development of medicine and the presence of many modern chemical compounds, medicines and drugs manufactured
