Abstract
The automotive sectors are going through dynamic changes as electric vehicles EVs are being adopted as sustainable solutions to the ever-emerging transport and environmental issues. Of the emergent materials, polymer matrix composites have attracted much interest because of their features as lightweight, high strength structures with inherent thermal stability and versatility which makes them suitable to be incorporated into energy storage systems, EVs. In the following paper, an extensive literature review of polymer composites used in energy storage systems for electric vehicles will be provided. I significant way it assesses the current status of these technologies regarding their performance, design and potential uses. “By leveraging the significant benefits of polymer composites, such as enhanced energy density and durability, these materials will undoubtedly be at the epicenter of progress in EVs. Moreover, the future research and development direction of polymer composite-based energy storage system is also elaborated in this paper. The possibility of making various improvements to the efficiency and sustainability of EVs by Bio based polymers, recyclable composites, and nano technology-based material is discussed. Upward tendencies and innovations are disclosed and illustrated and how polymer composites can help to define the next major development stage of electric mobility. Through the identification and analysis of current trends and future possibilities, this research is expected to present a possible paradigm for advancing and improving polymer composite applications in energy storage systems of the automotive market and therefore, a sustainable expanded future for electric cars.
