Abstract
Storytelling, a timeless art of expressing ideas and emotions, has experienced a revolutionary transformation in the digital era. The emergence of digital platforms like social media, streaming services, podcasts, and interactive apps has completely transformed how stories are created, shared, and experienced. This modern age is marked by accessibility, interactivity, and multimedia convergence, allowing storytellers to reach world audiences in unprecedented fashion. With the advent of the digital era, stories are no longer limited to linear forms or conventional media. Emerging technologies like augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and artificial intelligence (AI) are making it possible to create engaging and immersive storytelling experiences that are both interactive and dynamic. User-generated content, participatory storytelling, and algorithmically customized stories have transformed audience interaction, creating a culture of co-creation and ownership. But with this change comes the challenge. Challenges like information overload, ethical narration, digital literacy, and algorithmic effects on narrative diversity must be treated with caution. Additionally, the transient quality of digital content makes it important to question preservation and authenticity within the storytelling heritage. This research work addresses the interface of technology and narrative, investigating how digital means enlarge artistic potential but reframe the cultural and ethical aspects of practice. It emphasizes the importance of accepting technological changes responsibly so that narration continues to be an effective tool of bonding, learning, and compassion in an increasingly transforming world.
