Abstract
Quality of life (QoL) is crucial as it balances physical health, mental well-being, and emotional satisfaction, which are often compromised by people. Prioritizing QoL enhances overall happiness and productivity, reduces chronic health issues, and fosters stronger social connections. It is a multidimensional concept that has a direct impact on physical, psychological, and social well-being. The prevalence of QoL is influenced by factors, such as economic conditions, healthcare access, education, and social stability. In general, developed countries report a higher QoL index, whereas developing regions often face a lower QoL due to poverty, limited healthcare access, and political instability. In India, nearly 46.2% of the total population reported poor QoL as per the study conducted in 2021. Understanding the impact of interventions through Yoga and a holistic approach which can also be considered as a noninvasive way can provide valuable insights as individual or complementary health practices. Here, a study was conducted on 60 healthy individuals with the aim of evaluating the effectiveness of selected Yoga practices with a modified diet and lifestyle in improving overall health outcomes. They were selected based on Health Scale-19 (HS-19) and were randomly divided with two groups. Group A was subjected to selected Yoga Practices everyday along with modified diet and lifestyle whereas Group B was under selected Yoga Practices only. Selected Yoga practices included focusing, subtle exercises, cleansing, method, vital breath practices, etc., for about 30–45 minutes every day. Both the groups were made to practice under supervision for 90 days. Statistically, significant result was found in physical and psychological domain of Group A in comparison with Group B whereas both the groups have insignificant result statistically in social and environmental domain. Therefore, it can be concluded that Yoga, along with a modified diet and lifestyle, is more effective in improving QoL in healthy individuals statistically
