Abstract

Electronic skin (e-skin) is a transformative technology with the potential to revolutionize the way we interact with our bodies and the world around us. From personalized medicine to advanced robotics, e-skin is paving the way for a future where technology is more integrated, responsive, and attuned to our needs. As research progresses and challenges are overcome, e-skin is poised to become an indispensable tool for improving healthcare and shaping the future of human-machine interaction. For decades, science fiction has tantalized us with the prospect of robots with a sense of touch and medical devices that can monitor our health with unprecedented accuracy. This futuristic vision is rapidly becoming a reality, thanks to the development of e-skin. This remarkable technology, mimicking the properties of human skin, is poised to transform healthcare and robotics, offering solutions that were once confined to the realm of imagination. It’s a rapidly evolving reality poised to reshape healthcare and robotics. From monitoring our health with unprecedented precision to enabling robots to interact with the world in more meaningful ways, e-skin is bringing us closer to a future where technology truly meets human needs. As research progresses and the technology matures, we can expect to see even more transformative applications of this remarkably sensitive and adaptable material. The era of the ‘sensitive touch’ is here.
