Abstract

This paper presents the design and development of a foldable electric bicycle, aimed at addressing the challenges of urban transportation and environmental sustainability. The proposed bicycle features a compact and lightweight design, allowing for easy folding and storage, making it ideal for commuting and short-distance travel. The electric powertrain is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, providing a range of up to 50 km on a single charge. The bicycle’s foldable design and electric propulsion system make it an attractive option for urban dwellers, reducing carbon footprint and promoting sustainable transportation. The paper discusses the design considerations, technical specifications, and performance evaluation of the foldable electric bicycle, demonstrating its potential as a viable alternative to traditional fossil fuel-powered vehicles.

Keywords: Foldable electric bicycle, sustainable transportation, urban mobility, electric powertrain, lithium-ion battery
