Abstract
A major challenge to human advancement, climate change, necessitates political consensus and international cooperation to overcome its wide-ranging effects. One of the most important strategies for overcoming this obstacle, raising awareness, and promoting the shift to sustainable socioeconomic systems is environmental education. This study examines how well a climate change awareness that focuses on the connections between waste production, consumption patterns, and climate change works for students in India’s education system. Through examining these connections, the study aims to foster eco-friendly habits and raise awareness of the global movement toward pollution avoidance and green consumption. The overarching goal of attaining “carbon neutrality”, which emphasizes how education can affect both individual and group actions to lower carbon emissions, must be in line with environmental education. In the framework of a low-carbon economy, the study investigates how environmental education might improve environmental quality. The objective of the study is to develop a generation of changemakers by giving information for adopting sustainable habits. The findings highlight the importance of developing environmental education programs to lessen the impact of climate change and highlight the obstacles and problems of teaching responsible consumption. This study focuses on examining the affiliation between eco-friendly quality and eco-friendly education in the framework of a low-carbon economy.
