About the Journal

International Journal of Marine Life (IJML) is a peer-reviewed open-access journal launched in 2024 that aims to publish high-quality research articles, reviews, and other scientific contributions related to marine life. The journal focuses on all aspects of marine organisms, ecosystems, and biogeochemical processes, including but not limited to taxonomy, physiology, ecology, behavior, genetics, biotechnology, fisheries, and aquaculture.

The scope of the journal includes research on marine organisms from all taxonomic groups, including bacteria, viruses, protists, algae, invertebrates, and vertebrates. The journal also welcomes contributions on marine ecosystem processes, including primary production, nutrient cycling, biotic interactions, and trophic dynamics. Studies that address the impacts of anthropogenic activities on marine life, including climate change, ocean acidification, pollution, and overfishing, are also of great interest to the journal.
