Transit corridor has a strong influence on spatial structure at local, regional, and global levels. In the recent times, increase in mobility and higher levels of accessibility lead to significant economic processes. These above conditions are linked to the evolution of Transport networks, in terms of spaces and volume. It signifies the importance of specific dimensions such as nodes, locations, networks, and interactions. The impacts of traffic on spatial structure have become multiscale. Transportation systems comprise of a complicated relationship of demand, the areas they cater and the complex connectivity which addresses the movement and circulation.

nAbstract

n

The phenomenon of expressing as well as communicating cultural identity in architecture and design is evident in numerous parts of the world: this paper examines and analyses in the context of Jaipur. Jaipur has constantly redesigned and reinvented itself, absorbing a wide range of social and cultural influences, can be clearly seen in its depository of crafts, traditions, and architectural expressions. This is perhaps most instantly recognizable and clearly reflected in the way its architectural identity has evolved over time. The cultural identity of Jaipur exits within the walled city. The paper defines the cultural identity of walled city, Jaipur using the two theories of the book “Image of the city” by Kevin Lynch and “Genius Loci” by Christian Norberg-Schulz. The clear difference and similarities between the image and identity of the walled city has been showed in the paper using the maps of the walled city and overall map of Jaipur. It also explains the identity of walled city using some aspects like social, political, cultural, historical and geographical aspects which covers the tangible and intangible aspects as well. The paper finishes up with proposal and for the recommendation highlighted issues and disparities in impression also the perception of the general image and form of the city because of the urban growth and development in the present context.

n Special Issue Descriptionn

Urbanization has both beneficial and negative effects on the urban region itself as well as the surrounding hinterlands, which are the areas where distinctly urban and distinctly rural areas converge. Using the mean ranking of each item of the perceived impact of urbanization on the hinterlands as perceived by household heads, the impact on seven areas, including the environment, women and youth, politics and administration, village society, household economy, and village economy. Urbanism is a way of life that generally refers to the development of a distinctive culture in urban areas. Urbanization is the increase in the population of cities relative to the population of rural areas. Urban areas everywhere are diverse urban locales with different factors, such as population size and density, facilities thought to be available in urban regions, the main economic activities of the populace, etc., defined. The original occupancy of these communities, which is not under the pace of urban expansion, is now in danger as the pace of development in towns has begun to stifle living conditions.
