Abstract
In this project, we create a bionic arm that mimics natural hand movements using Arduino Uno. The arm consists of five fingers, each controlled by a servo motor. We use EMG sensors to detect muscle signals, allowing precise control of the hand. Unlike expensive commercial bionic arms, our design is cost- effective, robust, and lightweight. It demonstrates the potential of Arduino-based technology in creating functional and accessible prosthetics. The fusion of cutting-edge technology and human anatomy has led to remarkable innovations in bionic arms. By combining EMG sensors, Arduino Uno, and servo motors, researchers and engineers have created prosthetic limbs that closely mimic natural hand movements. These bionic arms offer hope to individuals who have lost their upper limbs due to injury or medical conditions. As we continue to refine these designs, we move closer to a future where functional and accessible bionic arms enhance the lives of people worldwide. Advancements in technology have led to the development of prosthetic limbs that mimic human arm functionalities. This research paper focuses on design and development of a bionic arm prototype using Arduino Uno microcontroller interfaced with an Electromyography (EMG) sensor. The EMG sensor detects muscle contractions, translating them into control signals for the bionic arm. This paper discusses the components, design considerations, implementation process, and potential applications of the developed prototype.
