Abstract
In India agriculture is the major income provider. Farmers owning small plots are more likely to face financial losses caused by droughts, floods, pests, diseases, and other natural calamities. Agricultural insurance acts as a risk management tool by providing financial protection against crop losses and supporting farmers during difficult periods. The present learning observes the impact of agricultural insurance on the financial security of small and marginal farmers in Magadi Taluk, Bangalore South District.. They focused on farmer’s awareness, participation, accessibility, incurrence coverage, premium affordability, and the claim process. Information was consumed from 120 respondents using a structured questionnaire, through descriptive & regression analysis. The results indicates the insure supports by reducing financials risk, improving income stability, loan repayment’s & encouraging them to agricultural activities. It suggest to increase awareness program on rural areas.
