Abstract
The LPG Gas Weight Measurement Stand is a novel project, with the target to measure the leftover weight of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in cylinders precisely so that it can be consumed efficiently and also refilled punctually. Traditional methods depend upon manual guess or weighing scales, which are tiresome and inaccurate. The project presents a dedicated weighing stand with a load cell sensor, microcontroller (such as Arduino or ESP8266), and LCD display to indicate the real-time weight reading. The process entails placing the LPG cylinder above the stand, where the load cell weighs and sends the reading to the microcontroller. The LPG cylinder is placed directly on the measurement platform, where the load cell senses the force being exerted and transforms it into an electrical signal. To ascertain the precise weight of the cylinder, including the amount of gas left in it, the microcontroller processes and calibrates this signal. Users can accurately and conveniently track gas levels continually thanks to the clear display of the processed data on the LCD screen. Technology can assess the amount of gas left and forecast usage duration based on consumption trends by comparing the current weight with the cylinder’s tare weight. The calculated weight is then indicated, allowing users to monitor gas levels accurately. Other features can also include IoT functionality for remote access via a mobile application, low-gas level notification, and consumption analysis via data logging. This product enhances safety, reduces wastage of gas, and ensures constant supply by preventing sudden depletion. It is cost-effective, simple to use, and usable for domestic and commercial use. By the integration of smart technology, the LPG Gas Weight Measuring Stand offers a modern solution to an ancient problem, adding convenience and efficiency to LPG usage.
