Concrete composite as construction material is utilized all over the world and it is not considered as eco-friendly because cement is provided as a binder in it. Therefore, replacing binder in concrete composite by alumina and silica rich by-products in presence of chemical activators give rise to geopolymer concrete composite which is eco-friendly in nature. Geopolymer concretes composite can be used to build a variety of structural configurations, have a high early strength, use fewer resources, are more affordable, and persist for an extended amount of time without needing to be repaired. Compared to conventional cementitious composites, geopolymer concrete composite continue to be unstable. Numerous studies have reviewed on how to make geopolymer concretes composite more durable by increasing their microstructural properties. The initial strength of the geopolymer concretes can be increased by heat curing using several methods and is discussed in the research. Geopolymer concrete composite survives hostile environment better than normal concrete composite because of its less porous microstructure. Based on the utilization of geopolymer concrete composite in building projects, this research reviews the engineering properties of the material and the viability of geopolymer concrete composite. The study reviews the performance of geopolymer concrete composite under compressive strength, workability, and durability.
