The solar wind is an uninterrupted outflow of magnetized plasma from the solar corona that
reaches interplanetary space and accumulates in the earth’s outer atmosphere disturbing the navigation
and communication systems. Incoming solar winds move across in the space, form waves during
times of robust solar activity. These waves undergo modification in Earth’s atmospheric and interfere
with communication signal. Navi-Aid Airport frequency communication data, together with ACE
Satellite Electron and Proton data, have been collected for the research work that is being presented.
The modulation of waves has been achieved via suitable equations, and the findings have shown that
solar wind contributes and modifies earth communication signals and may trigger the ground wave
guide region’s communication signal transmission to be disrupted.
Keywords: Solar Wind Modulation, Navigational aids, Airport Communication signal, Solar proton flux, Communication signal strength.
