Abstract
The idea of personalized medicine has been around for a while, but it has recently gained a lot of attention. 3D printing technology is attracting interest because of its practical uses in the pharmaceutical industry and other areas of healthcare. This study discusses the framework of medication delivery technology using 3D printing and its role in developing pharmaceutical products. 3D printers can be classified as inkjet, extrusion, or laser-based devices, depending on how they layer materials. This review looks at different types of 3D printers and their uses in various medication delivery methods. It also includes recent research in the field of pharmaceutical 3D printing for medication delivery. In addition to the exciting opportunities, this assessment points out the regulatory and technological challenges that slow down the adoption of this technology in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. It also suggests solutions to overcome these obstacles.
Keywords: 3D printing, layer by layer. Drugs, customized healthcare, personalized dosage, delivery of drugs.
