Abstract
Job seekers often struggle with interview preparation due to a lack of structured practice, real-time feedback, and a realistic interview environment. Traditional methods, such as self-practice or mock interviews with peers, may not provide an accurate assessment of a candidate’s readiness for real-world job interviews. This research work introduces an AI-based mock interview tool designed to enhance skills based on a user’s job profile. The platform is built using React and Next.js, and AI will conduct interviews based on the job profile and years of experience. Users can log in through authentication provided by the clerk and access the dashboard, where they can add a new mock interview or view all previous mock interviews. The platform enables the webcam and microphone before starting the interview, making it similar to an actual interview, and also allows the interview to be recorded. Each recorded answer is stored in the database using SQL and Drizzle ORM. After the interview ends, feedback is provided on individual questions, including ratings, well-constructed answers, and feedback on how to improve answers by adding suitable keywords or points. This platform is a powerful tool for job seekers to gain confidence, reduce pre-interview anxiety, enhance their communication skills, and experience a real-world interview experience.
