Special Issue Description

The word “chiropractic” comes from the Greek language, which means “done by hand”. Chiropractic is a medical profession focused on treating spinal and musculoskeletal problems primarily through manual therapy. Chiropractors are primary contact practitioners. A chiropractor does not prescribe medication but relies on therapies like spinal manipulation, mobilization, and adjunctive therapy to improve function and provide pain relief. Other common treatments chiropractors recommend include therapeutic exercise, stretching, spinal traction, manual soft tissue mobilization, transcutaneous electric nerve stimulation (TENS), ultrasound, diet, nutritional counseling, and lifestyle modification. The special issue encourages the authors to submit articles on the detailed descriptions and methods of chiropractic diseases and their treatment.
