Special Issue Description

The different documents that make up the design development phase of the architecture design process collectively establish the project’s parameters. These design development documents comprise mechanical, structural, architectural, and civil engineering drawings. Engineering drawings called structural drawings to provide specifics about the design and construction of a building. Architectural drawings serve as the foundation for structural drawings produced by registered engineers. These are concerned with the load-bearing components of the construction and display the appropriate size, measurements, and materials. Surface treatments, partition walls, or even mechanical systems are not included in structural plans, which are simply structural and call for building authority permission. During the construction management process’ lifetime, the design development stage is a fun period. Even though you won’t start construction on your project for a while, the design development phase is when schematics are polished, building materials are picked, and the final interior and exterior designs for the project are decided. The architect, engineer, owner, and project manager are all involved in the collaborative design development process. During the design development stage, each team member collaborates with the others to create a design that reflects the owner’s preferences while also being structurally solid, smartly engineered and sustainably constructed. Architectural drawings are draughts, blueprints, diagrams, or schematics that are utilized both during the design phase and the construction phase. The drawings depict the structure’s inner and outside appearance and include accurate measurements and construction-related data. There are numerous designs with sheets illustrating various elements of the construction, from plumbing to electrical and mechanical systems. These drawings are frequently duplicated during the blueprinting process and are occasionally prepared using CAD software.
