Enhancing Oil-Water Separation with the Performax Coalescer

Special Issue Description

The Performax R Matrix Plate Coalescer is an updated enhanced oil-water separator that answers the oil producers’ requirement for a simple, effective separator. For many years, the Freewater Knockout (FWKO) was the basic oil field standard in oil-water separation. Results from light gravity paraffinic oils to heavy gravity asphaltic oils are described in detail. Oil-water separation is now performed using the Performax Coalescer, which has enhanced gas, water, and oil quality. Engineers and oil producers are still struggling with the issue of producing water from oil. It has been difficult and frustrating for the industry to distinguish the value from the throwaway since 1865 when water and hydrocarbons began coproducing. The Performax Matrix Plate Coalescer, an improved gravity settling separator, was recently developed. Over the years, innovation has led from the skim pit to the installation of the stock tank, the Gunbarrel, the free-water knockout, the hay-packed coalescer, and most recently. Most of the history of water treatment has been sparse and hazy. The majority of it has been sparse and hazy. The produced water has no economic worth, and therefore incurs additional costs for the producer to arrange for disposal. In modern oil fields, water production exceeds oil production. Emulsions and dispersions, which are more challenging to manage, are produced in conjunction with increased water output. As the last drop of oil is extracted from the reservoir, the separation process becomes entangled with a wide range of pollutants.

Manuscript Submission information

Manuscripts should be submitted online via the manuscript Engine. Once you register on APID, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline.
All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the email address:[email protected] for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a Double-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for the submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page.
