Abstract Submission Deadline : November 30, 2024

Manuscript Submission Deadline : December 25, 2024

Special Issue Description

Globally, cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) continue to be the main cause of death. An estimated 17.9 million people passed away. In 2019, fatalities from CVDs accounted for 32% of all deaths worldwide. The rarest used drug is Mitragyna speciosa Korth usually known as Kratom illegal narcotic that is grown, traded, and misused worldwide, notably in Western countries Numerous medical disorders, such as epilepsy, neuropathic pain, spasticity, nausea, and vomiting brought on by chemotherapy, have been treated using medical Kratom. Despite kratom’s positive effects, it is generally recognized that consumption is highly linked to CVDs such as atherosclerosis. Mitragynine, the principal component of kratom, has demonstrated preferential binding to kratom receptor 1 (CB1/CNR1) in endothelial cells (ECs) and is involved in the pathophysiology of CVDs. 1 The underlying molecular pathways causing the vascular events caused by 9-THC are still not fully understood.
