Special Issue Description

The neuromuscular system refers to the network of muscles and nerves that cooperate to provide movement. Rehabilitation is defined as “a series of actions meant to optimize functioning and reduce disability in individuals with health issues.” Neuromuscular rehabilitation therapy is useful in reducing the effects of MS, Parkinson’s disease, and stroke in several patients. Neuromuscular illnesses cause issues with the muscles and nerves in your body, which affects how well your muscles work. The effects of these diseases on your nerves and muscles are lessened with neuromuscular treatment (NMT). A wide range of illnesses affecting the peripheral nervous system, which is made up of all the motor and sensory nerves connecting the brain and spinal cord to the rest of the body, include neuromuscular disorders. Nerves that regulate voluntary muscles and nerves that relay sensory data to the brain are both impacted by neuromuscular diseases. To help regulate voluntary muscles, nerve cells (neurons) transmit and receive electrical signals to and from the body. Neuromuscular disorders can be inherited or brought on by a spontaneous gene mutation. Depending on the situation, neuromuscular disease symptoms can range from minor to serious to life-threatening. for ex., Muscular Weakness, Muscle wastage, Muscle pain, Breathing problems, Swallowing Difficulties, etc. In this special issue, we are inviting articles related to Neuromuscular Disorders, Rehabilitation, and Neuromuscular Medicines.
