A Study on Dynamics of fluid flow in porous media

Abstract Submission Deadline : November 30, 2024

Manuscript Submission Deadline : December 25, 2024

Special Issue Description

The way fluids behave when passing through a porous medium, such as a sponge or wood, or when filtering water through sand or another porous substance, is known as fluid flow through porous media. As is frequently seen, some fluid passes through the media while the majority of the fluid is trapped in its pores. Traditional theories of flow in porous media make assumptions about the homogeneity, isotropy, and pore structure of the medium. Single-phase steady-state flow, multi-well interference, oil-water two-phase flow, natural gas flow, elastic energy-driven flow, oil-gas two-phase flow, and gas-water two-phase flow are common flow problems in porous media. To express the capillary force or fluid velocity as a function of different other factors, such as the effective pore radius, liquid viscosity, or permeability, Darcy’s law and the principle of mass conservation are combined. A substance that consists of a solid matrix and an interconnected void is referred to as a porous medium. We assume that the solid matrix either exhibits minor deformation or is rigid (which is the typical scenario).

Manuscript Submission information

Manuscripts should be submitted online via the manuscript Engine. Once you register on APID, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline.
All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the email address:[email protected] for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a Double-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for the submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page.
