Abstract

The paper proposes the application of a network of wireless sensors deployed within coal mining safety systems to oversee the operational environment and bolster safety protocols within coal mines. The system consists of master controllers and slave controllers, where the slave controllers detect dangers and send alerts to the master controller through Wi-Fi, enabling quick action to be taken. The system is powered by the NodeMCU microcontroller and includes various sensors such as MQ7, DHT11, LDR, Pulse sensor, and temperature sensor. The collected data is transmitted to a mobile app, allowing real time monitoring and alerting. The primary goal of the system is to increase the safety of coal miners by monitoring critical parameters such as gas levels, temperature, humidity, and the presence of toxic substances. The proposed system aims to enhance safety, efficiency, and productivity in coal mining operations while reducing the risk to human lives.
