Management of Team Work in a Digital Age for Sports Programme Effectiveness in Public Senior Secondary Schools in Rivers State, Nigeria

This study was basically on the management of team work in a digital age for sports programme effectiveness in public senior secondary schools in Rivers State, Nigeria. A descriptive survey research design was adopted. The population comprised all 286 principals and 572 sports officials across the public senior secondary schools in the state. A sample size of 429 respondents was selected using a stratified random sampling technique. Data collection was executed using a structured, validated instrument titled Management of Teamwork in Digital Age Questionnaire (MTDAQ), which demonstrated a high reliability index of alpha = 0.84.

Role of Ukemi (Falling Techniques) in Injury Reduction among Beginner Judo Players

Judo is a dynamic martial art that involves throwing, grappling, and ground-fighting techniques, making safe falling skills an essential component of training. Among these skills, Ukemi, commonly known as falling techniques or breakfalls, plays a vital role in minimizing the risk of injuries during practice and competition. Beginner judo players are particularly vulnerable to injuries because they often lack proper body control, balance, coordination, and confidence while falling. As a result, improper falling can lead to injuries involving the head, neck, shoulders, wrists, elbows, hips, knees, and spine. Therefore, learning Ukemi at the initial stage of judo training is considered one of the most important aspects of athlete development.

Various Bodyweight Training Effect on the Explosive Leg Strength of Badminton Players

This study looked at how a six-week training program affected the leg strength of university badminton players in India. The program was done with thirty badminton players from Central University of Punjab who were between 18 and 24 years old. These badminton players did a training program that had them exercise three times a week. The training program had two types of exercises: exercises where the players held a   position like wall sits and squat holds, and dynamic exercises where the players  moved, like jump squats and lunges.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming modern sports by improving athlete performance, training methods, and decision-making processes. The integration of AI technologies such as machine learning, data analytics, wearable sensors, and computer vision has enabled coaches and sports scientists to analyze large amounts of performance data with greater accuracy and efficiency. Athletes' physiological indicators, movement patterns, injury risks, and recuperation processes are all monitored by these technology.

Morphological Heterogeneity and Ethnic Patterning of Anthropometric Traits in Ethiopian Inter-Scholastic Athletes

Introduction: Anthropometric characteristics such as body size, proportions, and composition are fundamental determinants of morphological suitability for sport. Ethiopia’s significant ethnic diversity suggests potential variability in these traits; however, systematic data on anthropometric differences among adolescent athletes from different ethnic and demographic backgrounds remain limited. Understanding these variations is critical for talent identification and sports specialization at the school level. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among inter-scholastic athletes representing multiple Ethiopian ethnic groups. Standardized anthropometric assessments were performed following ISAK and CDC protocols.

The Influence of Data Analytics on Sports Performance

Data analytics has drastically changed how we evaluate, improve, and maintain athletic performance. Coaches used to use subjective observations as well as only limited numbers of statistics to consider player performance; however, tracking technology is now advancing at a fast pace. There are now very large amounts of real-time data available on athletes in regards to speed, movement patterns, fatigue, efficiency, etc. This enables all teams to more accurately make objective and data-driven decisions about an athlete’s performance. This study provides examples of how data analytics impacts athletic performance across several different sports disciplines, such as football, cricket, hockey, and basketball.
