About the Journal
International Journal of Nutritions [E-ISSN: 3048-5576]is a peer-reviewed online journal launched in 2024 that aims to publish high-quality original research, reviews, and meta-analyses in the field of nutrition. The journal seeks to provide a platform for researchers, scientists, nutritionists, and healthcare professionals to share their insights and findings on the latest advancements in the science of nutrition. The journal welcomes contributions from researchers and practitioners working in the fields of nutrition, biochemistry, epidemiology, public health, medicine, and related disciplines.
Focus & Scope
- The journal welcomes original research articles, systematic and narrative literature reviews, meta-analyses, case studies, short communications, and invited editorials in the following thematic areas:
- Macronutrients and Micronutrients: carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, dietary fiber, essential and non-essential amino acids, fatty acid metabolism, vitamins, water-soluble and fat-soluble vitamins, mineral physiology, trace elements, and nutrient bioavailability and metabolism.
- Nutritional Biochemistry and Metabolism: nutrient absorption and utilization, energy metabolism, carbohydrate metabolism, protein metabolism, lipid metabolism, micronutrient metabolism, enzyme function and regulation, antioxidant and pro-oxidant systems, nutrient signaling pathways, and nutrient-gene and nutrient-drug interactions.
- Nutritional Epidemiology and Disease Risk: dietary patterns and food intake assessment, diet quality evaluation, obesity and overweight etiology, chronic disease prevention (diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer), mortality and longevity studies, nutritional surveillance and assessment methods, and epidemiological study designs.
- Nutritional Interventions and Clinical Applications: dietary interventions, medical nutrition therapy, behavioral interventions, personalized nutrition approaches, nutritional supplementation, functional foods and nutraceuticals, nutrient fortification, nutrition counseling, and implementation science in nutrition programs.
- Nutritional Assessment and Monitoring: dietary assessment methods, biomarker analysis, anthropometric and body composition measurement, nutritional status evaluation, micronutrient deficiency assessment, dietary quality scoring systems, and monitoring of nutritional interventions.
- Nutrition Education, Communication, and Literacy: health and nutrition education, health communication strategies, dietary guidelines and food labeling, nutrition promotion campaigns, digital and mobile health approaches, health behavior change models, and community-based nutrition education.
- Global and Public Health Nutrition: malnutrition and food insecurity, maternal and child nutrition, breastfeeding and infant feeding practices, micronutrient deficiency disorders, nutritional anthropology and dietary diversity, sustainable food systems, nutrition policy and governance, and nutrition in low- and middle-income countries.
- Nutritional Genomics and Emerging Areas: nutrigenomics and nutrigenetics, nutritional immunology, nutritional neuroscience, nutritional toxicology, nutritional psychology, and other emerging disciplines integrating nutrition with molecular biology and public health.
