The Weight of The Flock: Narratives of Young Men who were Childhood Herders in Lesotho

Herding in Lesotho is associated with social isolation for extended periods, risk of assault by animal thieves, and risk of being attacked for suspected animal theft. Regardless, herding in Lesotho is mostly assigned to boys. The objective of this study was therefore to examine herding experiences of childhood herders in Thaba Tseka Lesotho. The study employed snowball sampling to recruit 14 childhood herders who were young adults (18-35 years old) at the time of the study.

The study investigated the use of digital tools in assessing language and literacy development in early childhood centres in the Tamale Nanton-district, Ghana. Impact of Assistive Technologies in Academic Evaluation for Students with Specific Learning Disabilities Studying in Secondary Schools of Koshikode District, Kerala

The inclusion of assistive technologies (AT) in academic assessment has made the learning experience of students who have specific learning disabilities (SLDs) much more fruitful. This paper discusses the effects of text-to-speech (TTS) and speech-to-text (STT) as applied in the academic performance of secondary school students with SLDs in Kerala regarding their effectiveness in improving their examination performance, understanding, and confidence. This method was a mixed design, which required 30 special educators to be involved in the study by completing a structured questionnaire and providing direct observations of 15 students taking exams assisted using assistive technology and in the absence of it. The results show that TTS and STT technologies used by students led to better understanding of the material, lower levels of anxiety during examination, and better writing than the traditional way of evaluation.

Effect of Adverse Childhood Experiences on Adult Attachment Styles and Help Seeking Behaviour Among Youth

Psychological development is deeply influenced by early environments, where personal experiences, cultural norms, and structural factors intersect. Beyond individual adversity, societal conditions shape cognitive, emotional, and social functioning, ultimately influencing attachment patterns and help-seeking behaviour in adulthood. The current study explores the influence of adverse childhood experiences on adult attachment styles and help-seeking behaviour among youth. 140 participants (70= males, 70= females) aged 18-25 years were involved in the study.
