Special Issue Description

A nanocrystal is a microscopic particle with at least one dimension less than 1,000 nanometers and is primarily made up of crystalline components. The definition of a nanometre is 10-9m in decimal form. A nanoparticle is referred to as a quantum dot if its size is less than 10 nanometers. The smaller its size the biggest potential it has in it. The nanocrystals have made many impossible things possible hence making its position in the special issue of the Journal of Polymer & Composites. Although size is the primary way that nanocrystals differ from regular crystals, this also has an impact on other features. For instance, silicon nanocrystals can emit light effectively, although this is not possible in bigger silicon samples. Nanocrystals have been discovered to be useful in several fields due to their special characteristics. The production of filters that transform crude oil into diesel fuel has made use of them. Solar panels can also be made by layering nanocrystals and applying them to flexible substrates. Titania nanocrystals may be put on surfaces in liquid suspension, allowing for the literal painting of solar panels onto exterior walls or roofs.

Manuscript Submission information

Manuscripts should be submitted online via the manuscript Engine. Once you register on APID, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline.
All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the email address:[email protected] for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a Double-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for the submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page.
