About the Journal

International Journal of Vaccines [3048-5681(e)] is a peer-reviewed open-access journal launched in 2024 that focuses on the International Journal of Vaccines was on all facets of vaccine research. It explains the complex characteristics of atypical disease symptoms followed by chronic disease development, whose diagnosis results in the discovery of novel aspects or mechanisms in the pathology of that disease boosting the immune system, the body & natural system for combating disease. The International Journal of Vaccines is happy to accept research papers, review articles, case reports, and popular articles. In the field of medicine, it points the way toward the development of novel treatments or processes for the treatment of long-term illnesses. Scientific findings, both theoretical and experimental, should be published in as much detail as possible. The length of the articles is therefore not limited. To enable the replication of the results, all experimental and computational data must be made available.

Focus & Scope

      • Vaccine Immunology: Innate and adaptive responses to vaccination, humoral and cell-mediated immunity, pattern recognition receptors, antibody responses, virus neutralization, protective immunity, immune tolerance, correlates of protection.
      • Virology and Viral Pathogenesis: Papillomaviruses and other vaccine-preventable viruses, viral pathogenesis, viral load, recombinant viral proteins, nucleocapsid antigens, immune evasion by pathogens.
      • Types of Vaccines: Inactivated and live-attenuated vaccines, messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccines, subunit, recombinant, polysaccharide, and conjugate vaccines, DNA vaccines, plant-based vaccines.
      • Adjuvants, Vectors, and Delivery: Vaccine adjuvants, immunomodulators, vaccination vectors, antigen delivery systems.
      • Animal Models for Immune Disorders: Experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis and neuritis, multiple sclerosis models, inflammatory bowel disease models, germ-free animals, T cell and neutrophil responses, cytokines, immune complexes, probiotic modulation of immunity.
      • Vaccine Research, Development, and Evaluation: Preclinical studies, clinical trial design, immunogenicity and efficacy assessment, vaccine safety and adverse event monitoring, manufacturing and commercial development, regulatory compliance.
      • Therapeutic Vaccines and Immunotherapy: Therapeutic cancer vaccines, cancer immunotherapy, HIV and AIDS vaccine candidates, gene-based vaccines, antibody therapeutics.
      • Veterinary and Zoonotic Vaccines: Viral vaccines for animals, livestock and companion animal immunization, control of zoonotic disease.
      • Immunization Programs and Public Health: Adolescent and lifespan immunization, vaccine uptake, coverage, awareness and education, epidemiological impact studies, pharmacoeconomic and cost-effectiveness analysis, access and equity, policy and regulatory affairs, biodefense immunization.

The journal publishes original research papers, review articles, case reports, and commentaries. Authors must make their experimental and computational data available so that results can be replicated. Studies of infection or immunity with no link to vaccines or immunization are out of scope. The journal serves vaccinologists, immunologists, virologists, clinical trialists, immunization program staff, veterinarians, and regulators.
