Who are the Editors?
Journal of Mobile Computing, Communications & Mobile Networks operates under the guidance of an Editorial Board, providing expert advice on content, attracting new authors, and encouraging submissions. Editorial board members play a crucial role in the scholarly publishing process. They are experts in their respective fields who are entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring the quality, integrity, and relevance of the content published in a Journal. This is almost always an honorary position, although board members sometimes provide peer reviews of submissions. In addition to reviewing several manuscripts per year, a member may also be asked to edit a special issue.
The Editorial Board, or Advisory Board, is a team of experts in the Journal’s field. Editorial Board members:
- Review submitted manuscripts.
- Advise on Journal’s focus and scope.
- Identify topics for special issues, which they may guest edit.
- Attract new authors and submissions.
- Promote the Journal to their colleagues and peers.
- Assist the editor(s) in decision-making over issues such as plagiarism claims and submissions where reviewers can’t agree on a decision.

Individuals interested in expressing their interests or applying through APID may follow these detailed steps:
- Registration on APID
- Navigate to the APID website using your preferred web browser.
- Click on the “Register” or “Sign Up” button located in the upper right corner of the homepage.
- Enter your email address and request an OTP, which will be sent to your email. You may resend the OTP if you have not received it.
- Enter the OTP you receive to verify your account. After verification, click Continue to set your password.
- Accessing the Advisory Board Application
- After verification, you’ll be directed to update your basic details; click on next, and you will be asked if you wish to apply for Editorial Board/Advisory Board; click yes, and click Update Profile/Claim APID. You will be directed to the application form.
- Completing the Application Form
- Fill out the form in its entirety. Ensure that all sections are completed accurately.
- Submission
- Upon completion of your application, click the “Submit” or “Apply” button.
- A confirmation will be sent to your registered mail address, indicating that your application has been received.
- Awaiting Response
- After submission, the advisory board’s selection committee will review applications.
- Once the review process is complete, you’ll be notified of the decision.
- Ensure your provided contact information is accurate to facilitate easy communication.
- Regularly check your email, including the spam/junk folder, for any communications regarding your application.
Update your Editorial Profile
You can review and update your personal and professional details through your editor profile on the APID platform. The information displayed on the Journal homepage is directly linked to your editor profile, ensuring that any updates you make will be reflected on the Journal homepage.
Role of Publisher
The publisher plays a vital role in supporting the editorial board in managing the Journal effectively, ensuring the publication of high-quality research, and maximizing its impact and reach within the academic community.
- Strategic Direction
- Setting the strategic direction and vision for the Journal of Mobile Computing, Communications & Mobile Networks, in consultation with the editorial board, to ensure alignment with the publisher’s goals and objectives.

Peer Review Overview
All articles submitted to us go through a rigorous review process before being considered for publication. These submitted manuscripts are edited by acknowledged experts in their respective fields, and the reviewer is assigned by the Journal editor. An editor can decide whether or not to send a manuscript for review and handle the review process by themselves.
All articles submitted to us are subjected to a stringent reviewing process for considering a manuscript for publication. Initially, the article undergoes a pre-acceptance stage where the Journal’s Managing Editor will check the article’s suitability according to the focus and scope of the Journal, plagiarism check, and manuscript formatting. When the Managing Editor determines that the article is suitable for further processing, the Managing Editor will grant pre-article Processing Charges approval to the author and assign the Reviewer/Expert Editor from the editorial board for peer review. The Managing Editor will ensure that the article gets at least 2 reviewer reports. Any flaw or error detected during the process will inform the author of a modification or revision of the content.
For assessment, jomccmn has stringent guidelines that make certain that only a good-quality manuscript is published. The Journal also has an editorial form and a checklist to help editorial board members evaluate the content for its authenticity and closely look at the methodology that you have adopted. Reviewers also check the structure of the manuscript and if you have referenced the articles correctly. Based on these stringent guidelines, the academic editor will make the final decision and recommend the managing editor to publish or reject the manuscript.
Appeals and Complaints
Generally, editorial decisions are not reversed. However, authors who think that their manuscript was rejected due to a misunderstanding or mistake may seek an explanation for the decision. Appeals must give sound reasoning and compelling evidence against the criticism raised in the rejection letter. A difference of opinion as to the interest, novelty, or suitability of the manuscript for the Journal will not be considered an appeal. Editors will consider the appeal, and the Journal Manager’s decision will be final. Acceptance of the manuscript is not guaranteed even if the Journal agrees to reconsider the manuscript, and the reconsideration process may involve previous or new reviewers or editors and substantive revision.
